JACK'S BACK!!!!

Jack is talking, Jack is swallowing, Jack is happy and smiling!
His therapy went great, he was swallowing saliva on his own. I was so excited we called daddy to tell him, and Jack started talking to Daddy on the phone!
Then we called Mommer (grandma) and when Elaine answered the phone Jack said, "Hi Mommmer this is Jack!" Jack just told me he has to go to the bathroom so we have to log off!!! talk again soon to you, I am talking to my sweet boy now.

Oh Tammy! Praise God for Jack's wonderful progress! I am so excited and happy for you. That is what I have been praying for, that he would get better faster than the doctors thought he would. I'm smiling for all of you as I write. Sounds like you may very well be home sooner than later and I will keep praying for that. Thank you for the updates and for sharing your lives with so many of us. I hope you can sleep tonight with all the excitement. Jack may have a huge backlog of information to share and I know you'll be happy to listen to every single precious word. May need to break out the caffine. Take care. Love, Sarah, Kris, Elijah, and Joseph

Praise God for baby steps which are becoming giant leaps. Thank you, Tammy, for keeping us posted on the wonderful progress. I didn't talk to Elaine last night, but know why her smile was so wide she had to turn sideways to get through the door. We will keep praying for a speedy recovery. God is SOOO good. ;>)

I got to visit with Elaine at church last night and she was so excited to hear Jack's little voice on the phone, she said she just started crying when she heard it!! What a blessing!!! I know you must be relieved to be hearing his precious voice and seeing those blue eyes!

It was so good to see Tom, Elaine, and Rob at church last night (the kids were in class, I'm sure) and we can't wait until you are able to join them. We miss seeing your smiling faces! And how awesome that God is answering our prayers and Jack is talking, smiling, and swallowing agian! You continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. Keep up the good work.

We love you!

Dear Tammy and Jack,
As someone who works with Speech everyday I know how important and vital it is to everyday life. I know what a blessing it is to hear a child's sweet voice (especially for a mother to hear her own child's voice). I praise you Father for giving Jack such a sweet voice. Keep getting better Jack. We love you both and want you to come home soon.

Love,
Tracy

"He gave us eyes to see them, and lips that we might tell, how great is God almighty, who hath made all things well. . .All things bright and beautiful, creatures great and small. All things wise and wonderful, the Lord God made them all." So glad that Jack is singing the praises of our God just by saying hello to his Mommer!!!

Tammy,
My heart goes out to you, Jack, and the entire family. I am sorry that I am just now finding out so I can add to the support and prayers. The news sounds so positive and I am sure that is because of your tremendous love and support from your family and friends, and your overwhelming strength in your faith. Thank you for taking the time to share your updates, and letting all of us be a part of it with you.
You have a ton of love and support way back here in Arizona.
It is wonderful to hear he is doing well and is on the mend.
Take care. Love, Michelle, Cary, Andrew and Shelbi

Tammy,
I am choking back tears. We take so much for granted. Sometimes I catch myself almost wishing my children wouldn't talk so much. You are such a wonderful reminder to me of how very precious our sweet children are. We are so very very happy for Jack. We miss him and are still praying hard all the time!! Thank you for being a blessing to me during this phase in you life!

Jack says -
Thank you for praying for me. I feel good today. I have talked, read a book, played a game, colored with chalk, played a little basketball, walked some stairs, and practiced my swallowing today.
Tammy says-
Jack is talkiing well today. He uses mostly one word at a time sometimes two. He did read a book with Sahan's father, Moe, who has a great way with motivating everyone around him. Jack gave Sahan a squeeze toy for him to play with. I asked the speech therapist about when she would give Jack some food to try, like pudding, and she said maybe next week. He will practice his swallowing and continue on the vitastim therapy then go to the hospital for a swallow study. After she sees everything is going to the correct places then he can try eating. I also asked her about an estimate for time here and she said that she could not really tell, but if Jack continues to proceed at such a great speed it could be as little as 2 weeks more. Keep praying for Jack, he is doing so well and in good spirits. He likes to go to the child life room, and play with the volunteers and new friends he has made.
Thanks for your continued prayers.

What wonderful news, Tammy! Isn't God awesome! And isn't it just like God to do things not just in small measures, but to bless us beyond what we could imagine! How happy you must be to sit and watch and listen to your precious Jack talk, not in just one word, but to talk again so quickly. And his swallowing is coming back so well! Praise God!

We continue to pray for his complete healing and for your family to be back together again soon.
May God continue to bless you and Rob daily as you are apart, each doing what you can, with God as your strength, to keep your family going right now.

You are blessed with so many family members and friends who have stepped in and helped to carry the burden. And Jack has been so blessed with the Drs. who have been taking care of him.

Praying for you daily-
Lois Perkins
