Hello, Tammy....this is Dr. B.....

The doctor called!!!! He said the team decided that Jack should do the gamma or cyber knife radiation. This means that it will be a one day procedure and we wont have to be in Dallas for 6 weeks! Another doctor's office will call us early next week to work out the details. I am a bit scared of the radiation, but I am incredibly hopeful that this could be the treatment that will destroy the tumor. Please join me in prayer for God to use these doctors and nurses and this radiation to be the final treatment needed for Jack.

One thing is for sure, we know God is faithful.

I've heard great things about that treatment -- and even better things about our Lord who holds it all in His hand!! Praying, praying, praying!

I'm so relieved for you that you finally got word. Whew! And it is the decision you were hoping they would make. There is someone else praying for you and Jack and his doctors, someone you've probably never met. I told your story to my infusion nurse at my Remicade treatment yesterday, and she twice promised to pray for you all. After telling her something of Jack's history, and that you were waiting for news, she told me her son's story. About 5 years ago her son (21 at the time) was also dangerously ill with a non-malignant (but very malicious) tumor covering several cervical vertibrae. His surgery and subsequent treatment and physical therapy were successful. He's now married and works in Dallas. Sometime I'd like to tell you her story of the angel (literally, perhaps) who brought her the message, as they waited through the long surgery, that her son would be fine. I think she wouldn't mind my sharing that story with you. It's full of faith and hope.
Blessings on you all, Gay
