A Great Weekend

What a great weekend. Friday night started out with Rob's and my special date which I wrote about in the previous post. We went to Cypress St. to eat, then walked the city sidewalks to the Paramount to see my most favorite movie, It's a Wonderful Life. The evening was awesome. Here are some pics of the night.

These first two pics are of Rob and I in the restaurant. They are a bit grainy but I wanted to be able to catch the ambient light to see the fire place behind us, so no flash.

Here are the lights of the Paramount. Might even frame this one to remember the night.

And here is the red curtain that covers the screen with snowflake lights shining on it to commemorate the season.

Lovely night.

Saturday I was in Brownwood and Bangs for a wonderful wedding. The bride lived in Bangs growing up, she lives in Virginia now, for a few more weeks anyway, as her groom is from England so they will be living across the pond for several years then maybe returning to the states. It was a gorgeous day, I will be blogging that a bit later on my photog. blog, so I will link it here when I do because the couple is precious and the pics are amazing.

Sunday our church hosted a community wide church celebration at the civic center. We sang a mix of Christmas music and our regular Sunday music. It was beautifully put together. There were 1450 people there and it was so much fun. Rob performed a monologue called the Nativity Set, here is a pic of him while he is in performance.

Then one of our friends had a large group over for Sunday lunch so we met some new friends and visited with the "old".
Rob said last night that this was a great weekend, and I totally agree! Thank you God for these sweet blessings.

It was a beautiful service. We have the best singing of any congregation I have ever attended. Rob did a great job and even kept Mattie May in awe as she listened to his story. I think it was the only time she sat still for the entire service!
