    Once I get my house back in order after getting everyone off to school this week, I'm going to try to pull some thoughts together. It was sort of a wake-up call for me not to assume that "doing everything right" equals perfect kids. My knees are getting sore from constantly having to stay on them!!

    The phrase "aiming for our children's hearts" jumped out at me. If our children see US relying on God in ALL of life, that is the most important lesson they can learn. The amount of sheltering can differ, of course, but the Jesus did speak about his disciples being in the world, just not of the world.
    Our entire focus cannot be keeping our kids "safe" -- it must also be keeping our kids prepared for what life brings (the good, the bad, and the ugly). That's where a growing relationship with our heavenly Father comes in!
    Thanks for sharing the post on raising five. It is always encouraging to hear other parents working through these questions.
