I am weeping (and laughing) about how "This Little Light of Mine" has been a theme song for ALL of us throughout this adventure, and Moe has seen the Light. Thank you for sharing that. Of course Jesus healed Jack -- and thank you for reminding us that not everyone knows our Jesus! And, just as all of the hospital is drawn to Jack, they are also drawn to This Little Light of Jack's!! It is shining so brightly!
My apologies for my 'blog tardiness' today -- Janet Nix and I have grilled hot dogs and made ice cream for 75 third graders today. I am covered in sweat, ice cream, sprinkles, and just general grime. But it's over. And I would do it tomorrow for Jack's Welcome Home party! Tell us when, tell us how, tell us what to do!
Jack -- thank you for shining your light! Sarah

Wow! I'm so excited about all the progress that is happening so quickly! Praise God! What an encouragement to be talking about a date to come home. I know you can't wait! We are all so proud of you, Tammy and Rob, for the way you have leaned on God for his strength through this whole process. And of course we are proud of Jack. Tammy, you say those other kids stop by to say hey to Jack, but I know that you are just as much a light to them and I can imagine the encourager you have been to everyone around you. God bless!! frances

Hooray!! So happy to hear you will be coming home Tuesday. I want you to know that the girls and I are leaving Wednesday for Illinois, so we may not see you for a week or two after you return, but will continue to pray for you.
We will also continue to pray for Jack's little roomate and his family that they would come to know Jesus. What an awesome influence you have been on so many people throughout this whole experience.

Praise God! A date to come home! We are all so happy for you and look forward to one big honkin party to celebrate. And how exciting to hear a Muslin speak truth about Jesus. Tammy, you, Rob, Jack and the whole family have been such vessels for pouring out God's love and Jesus' light through this whole ordeal. May God bless you for your faith in action. We'll be counting the days. Love, Sarah, Kris, Joseph, and Elijah

Tuesday! That is boundlessly wonderful! And thank you for telling the story about Sahan and Moe and their family. Esther was told that God had brought her to a certain (difficult) place at a particular time for a particular purpose. I see something similar in Jack's being in that particular rehab room at Baylor.
Love, Gay

Our Dearest Tammy, Everyday I check on Jack's progress and today I was able to release the mix of emotions that have been welling up inside (I drowned the keyboard). We have been following Jack's progress with astonished joy and pride at his acomplishments and speed of recovery. Yes it is due to his Lord's care and devotion to his child but it is also the love of his family and especially the care of his mother and her guiding faith that has enabled him follow the path set for him by God. Sometimes we don't understand the ways of God and the tasks that he has set for us, Jack has touched so many people and in so many ways that God has given his grace and care for his recovery. He still has a way to go but is certainly well on his way. We wish you all lots of love and cherish that you chose to share this experience with us. May Sahan also feel the grace of God and have a good recovery. Regardless of where his faith lay Sahan and his family has felt the strength of the bonds of a family (God's family) and may they come to understand. Love always from family so far away, Cindy, Zacary and Benjamin P.S I will not be able to keep a dry face now at Campfire on Scout camps when we sing "This Little Light of Mine". I was looking through my Bible and found a slip of paper with a little quote I had written when your mum was here in Australia.
"A day is but a glimmer of light and hope from the rainbow of God's Love"
