Friday from Tammy

Sarah I am sorry for your computer. What a headache. I hear you are keeping some of the kids for Tamara today to take Sophie to the Dr. All the cogs that are turning to make things work at home are amazing.
We will look forward to seeing Sophie when she is better, and can't wait to see DJ today.
Jack is deep in the middle of therapy after therapy. We just returned from occupational therapy and music therapy will be there soon. (He likes that one) then this afternoon physical therapy. We will see speech therapy soon this morning also, the swallowing thing is not working too good yet. He didn't have the study yesterday because he wasn't swallowing water or jello that was offered in small amounts. He has made good friends with the suction tube and likes to hold onto it and suck out his saliva himself. Good for motor skills, not so good for swallowing practice.
We will have one last cat scan on Sunday before we go to Baylor on Monday to make sure that his head is still looking good.
He is holding his head alot, he had an assessment last night because of it, Teenie, the nurse practitioner for neurology said he is looking good neurologically. Could be sinus' or allergies so they started him on an allergy med. last night.
I was glad to see tears working for the first time yesterday. Never glad to see him cry, but glad that one more function is making its way back.
He has not lost any of his love to cuddle. He loves to lay his head on yours and just make a soft humming noise.
We were so glad to see the Allen's and the Ware's yesterday. Thanks for making a trip to see us and a trip to target. Jack likes his new jammies.
Well I am glad to be looking at another sunny day as I am sitting next to the window. Jack has enjoyed going for wagon rides outside in the walking areas. Today will be warm and sunny for him to enjoy.
He is walking better each day. Still with someone one each side, but he is more sure footed each day. Thanks for all your prayers and cards, warm wishes, and tears. We all love Jack and the wonderful personality he has, can't wait till we are all together again.

It's great to hear Jack will be able to get out and soak up some sunshine. God's creation can have awesome healing power in itself! I know the sunshine always lifts my spirits.

I was able to easily find the nail polish and other supplies you were needing. They will be in the sack with all your mail. Glad to know you are pampering yourself a little.

We will be specifically praying for Jack to get the "swallowing thing" back to working and on the road to eating those McDonald's hamburgers soon.

Tammy,
Please let me know if I can help with D.J. and Sophie. I know Tamara is not feeling well so I would be glad to stay with Sophie if you need me to. Jack is in my thoughts and prayers 24/7. I am so pleased with his progress. I keep praying for leaps and bounds but I know we must have patience and wait for the Lord's time frame and not our time frame.

Love always,
Tracy

We will be lifting up all of you in our prayers, especially sweet Sophie as she is here =( BUT Enjoy your time with DJ and let us know any way we can help. Tammy, what good news about Jack's progress-- especially the walking-- and that he's now well enough to be immersed in therapy. That's hard work, of course, but it should speed up the pace of his progress. We'll just keep praying for this to continue, and especially for him to respond well to the therapy that begins next week. I've added a special prayer for Sophie's and Tamara's well-being to my prayers for you all... as well as for continued opportunities for Jack to get outside. That's a precious therapy for his spirit. Love, Gay

So good to hear that Little Jack is making progress, one step at a time. And sorry that Sophie can't make the trip. Hopefully she will be better soon.

Hope everything goes well at Baylor.

Love and prayers,

What wonderful news to hear of all the progress that Jack is making. Now, if he can just get that swallowing bit down he'll be well on his way. I know that's coming though and that will be a major leap forward. We will pray for that to improve quickly!

Ah, sunshine...does the body good! Glad you're ALL able to get out and smell and experience the beauty of God's creation!

I know you're looking forward to DJ's visit too. Sorry Sophie is not feeling well. We'll be praying for her and Tamera too!

Give Jack a big hug for us! Take care of yourselves.

We love you!

Sunshine for you and for Jack. It is great news on his progress. Hope he soon begins the swallowing automation. you have a wonderful group of people round you and to read their prayers and comments for Jack's recovery are fantastic. Thanks to Sarah for organising the Blog to enable me to keep up to date and also to Elaine who has been able to do and give the hands on support which we can not, being so far away.love Greta

Tammy, Rob, Elaine, Jack...you guys are just so wonderful and in so many prayers. Your support team is far reaching. I was praying for Jack and it just popped into my head how God takes 9 months to knit a perfect little being in the mother's womb...so we shouldn't be surprised that it is taking a few days to reknit some of the parts of precious Jack's brain to get all systems back up and running. We will keep praying, you keep cuddling and God will keep working.

Thank you for being such an example to all of us of patience and unending love. We will continue to pray for Sophie's healing and for Tamara to get better. Our love, Foy and Mary Sue

Some good news and some bad news - Bad news: You weren't there to sleep in the bed with me. Good news: I got a bed to myself! We missed you so much at Retreat. There were shoes everywhere and we prayed for Jack's recovery more than one time. All those godly women lifting hom up at once!
You know Joyce Hailey called me and I sold the Eternal Threads purses. We sold at least 20 and Linda Egle was so nice to bring them out. So that ministry contined in your absence - Yeah God!! I worked with lots of swallowing patients and saw lots of progress. It's work and it's gagging sometimes but it teaches the brain again. Hang in there, it will pay off.
Love you both
Denise
