Saturday afternoon here at Our Children's House. We have had a fun day with family in. Rob, Tom and Elaine, DJ and Sophie, and visits from some great old friends and great new friends.
I am glad to say that Jack poked his tongue out at me, another first. I don't think he was being mean, just figured out he could make it work for the first time today. Jack has enjoyed DJ and Sophie. They have both doted on him all day, when not taking turns riding in his wheelchair. DJ has become a pro at navigating himself in it.
We are grateful for all your prayers. Keep praying, we are seeing great improvement everyday.
Love to you all.

Hi Tammy
Am talking to Eloise on the phone as I write after reading her your Blog update on Jack. It will be much like when he was a baby and began to do new things, the joy you had then will be bettered now. He seems to be improving at a great pace. Jack keep on showing mum the new things you can do. See you all soon Children's house or home.

Very glad for your time with family...what a refreshment. Right now am praying for your strength and your health and your refreshment. "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint." May you have an Isaiah 40:31 experience. May HIS hope give you strength.

love to you and Jack

What's new today?
Jack is smiling at will, laughing when he wants, pointing to where he wants to go, and most helpful nodding his head up and down for yes and no. No more guessing as to what he wants!!!!
This week Jack will start a therapy called vitastim, they will put little patches on his throat that will stimulate his throat and muscles around there to swallow. He has 5 one hour therapy's this week, one a day. The therapist said he will be eating a little stuff each day during this therapy. Jack is ready to eat mentally, so I hope this works well, so he can eat with us. We have been eating outside his room, because it makes him sad to not eat when others do. It didn't seem to bother him seeing me eat a powerbar or soup in a can, but when it comes to real food it is a different story. Keep his swallowing in your prayers. Oh to be tube free!
Love, Tammy

Hi Jack,

I think when you grow up you are going to be the Secretary General of the United Nations. There were 36 people who played in the Jack Marcelain Golf Tournament this past Saturday. There were Americans, Canadians, Englishmen, Scots, Germans, Russians, Austrailians, Kyrgyz, North and South Koreans, a Zimbawean and a South African.

We all knew that God loved you, but I think maybe he likes golf too. It rained all day Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The forecast called for even more rain on Saturday. But God parted the clouds and let the blue sky and sun shine through the entire day. The tournament was a "Texas Scramble" Tom can explain to you what that is. There were nine teams of 4 people each. Grandpa's team did not do too good, but that is OK.

A the end of the day we ate sheeshleek, that's like a Russian bar-b-Que. After we ate the love that all of these people have for you was abundantly demonstrated. Grandpa will be coming home with a very nice love offering for your family.

You keep doing good with your physical therapy, we are all proud of you.

Love ya Smiley,

Grandpa
