Surgery Day!
Many of us will be checking here frequently waiting for word from Jack (me? I have nowhere to look -- I just wait!) As you check the blog, please post a comment to tell your name, and where you live (city and state -- and I guess, country, if not U.S.!) I think it will be fabulous for Rob and Tammy and Jack to all see where everyone is that is praying for them. If you aren't familiar with posting a comment, click on the comment count at the bottom of this post. That will take you to a page that has a blank spot for you to start typing! More explanation is at the bottom of this page in "Posting a Comment 101".
As soon as I have word, I will post more. 8:00-ish: Surgery has been re-scheduled (again) for 8:30. A child came into the emergency room that needed the first slot, so now he's scheduled for 8:30. 11 a.m. -- Surgery STILL delayed. Jack is restless and hungry. Let's pray for this to get underway!!
Tammy and Rob -- look at the times on the comments for the post from Tammy. We truly have you COVERED in prayer, through all hours of the night!

At this very hour may God wrap his arms around you and bring you the strength and peace you need to make it through this morning and afternoon. Please continue to feel the presence of all the prayer warriors lifting you up.

Even though we're not there with you, please know our love and concern is being poured your way! I will pray specifically for peace as you wait. I know hours will seem like they are only going by in minutes. May you be at peace and have patience as the surgery unfolds.
We love you!

We wish we could be there with you today in person but we are certainly with you in spirit. I'm so glad I got to see Jack enjoy those pancakes (with extra syrup!) Monday. It helps me keep his sweet image in my mind as I lift him up in prayer today. May God continue to bless you and keep his loving arms wrapped around you.
We love you dearly!

From Guy:
So much has happened in the last 48 hours since being with you last. My heart goes out to you. It's hard to even know what to say and think. I can't even imagine what it has been like for the two of you. All I know is that God's love and grace will carry you and your family through this. I know our God is awesome and his love and peace is unbelieveable. We love you guys and my prayers and thoughts are constantly with you. Can't wait to give all three of you a big hug!

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We are "disturbing God" on your behalf-- praying for Dr. Price and the medical team, for your peace as waiting is so difficult, and for little Jack as his body undergoes this surgery. We will continue to pray...
We love you!!!

Jack's emergency has given meaning to prayer for our younger kiddos, Kevin and Anne. We prayed this morning, knowing that Jack was approaching surgery.
May you all feel God's presence today! We love you dearly!
Lisa Carroll
p.s. Who is Anne gonna chase around the building tonight, Tammy? Jack will be missed in many ways.
The master says:
"Write! Whether it's a letter, a diary or just some notes as you speak on the telephone — but write!
In writing, we come closer to God and to others. Try to put your soul in writing, even if no one reads your words. The simple fact of writing helps us to organize our thoughts and see more clearly what is in our surroundings. A paper and pen perform miracles — they alleviate pain, make dreams come true and summon lost hope.
The word has power.
I do belive that everything will be more than perfect with your lovely child. God loves their children and answer on their prays!

Please know that the operating room is FULL of angels at this moment, protecting Jack and guiding Dr. Price's hands. They will keep everyone there safe and alert for the job they are doing. I love you all, and am in constant prayer for Jack.

We are still praying for our sweet Jack. We will miss his angelic face and spirit in bible class tonight but we will give all his loving to Sophie until Jack returns. I will be videoing the program at Butterfield that DJ and Ragan's class will be in today at 12:30. Will take pictures of DJ and give him some loving too. Hurry back sweet Jack your buddies need you in bible class in the boys vs. girls bible trivia. We love you. Teacher Carla H.
Please know that we continually pray for the surgery and God's peace to invade your thoughts. We know about long hours of waiting and wondering...God works miracles!! We know!

I love you guys so much. I have been praying for peace for all of you. Mom's prayer group prayed for you on Tuesday night. We will keep you in our prayers. Can't wait to see you again at one of our "family get togethers".
Love,

Our God is an awesome God!!
You have been constantly on my mind and in my prayers. Tammy, all those Psalms of David are replaying in my mind. Remember who's in charge and where our HOPE lies! Wish I could just hold you tight right now. I've asked God to give you an extra squeeze for me.
I love you!

We are in constant prayer for ya'll and for the medical team attending precious Jack. May ya'll feel the comfort of God's loving arms around you and His soothing peace. We love you and eagerly await for one of God's awesome miracles. Max and Jill Harding
We are so grateful to see all of the people who are lifting prayers for Jack. We know you are, too.
Lord God, Thank you for your people. Thank you for the death of your Son who unifies us all. Please be with Jack Marcelain and his Doctors today. Give your guidance to their hands, your wisdom to their minds and your compassion to their hearts. Hold Rob, Tammy, Elaine, Tom, Sophie, & DJ close. Make your presence known so clearly to them. Give them peace in this time. Give them strength. Give them hope. Please heal this little boy whom we love so dearly. Make his body well and strong. Please give us your victory over this. Thank you for your healing Hand. We love you. Amen

The girls and I spent last night praying and attempting to come up with ways to help ya'll out. Megan decided she could go do your photography appointments but we decided people wanted their heads in the pictures. Let us know what we can do! We love ya'll and can't wait to see you again! Jessica
I just found out about this website this morning. I had posted the information I had yesterday on the UCC list serve, and Mary Kay Mitchell emailed me with the latest information she had, and this site. This is wonderful.
Tamara told me last night about the good results on the second MRI. My prayers today combine my thanks for that with prayers for the surgery. I know assuredly that God is personally present with each of you, and with Jack, and with Dr.Price. Also, Jack is surrounded by the angels we were talking about on Monday!
Know that prayers for you all will be a constant thread through my whole day, as they were yesterday.
With much love,
Gay Barton
Our hearts hurt as we got the news. You are in our thoughts and prayers. The church in Grants is praying for young Jack as well.

I am praying for you! Yesterday is Ladies Class we talked about Esther and her courage. You are Esther today!

Mondy got the news to Stewart Brothers and then they started spreading it to us and we are continuing to contact those in our lives who have been "really strong pray-ers". My husband, Wes preaches here in Stamford at the Orient St. Church of Christ and so we will encourage all those out here in the 'country' to be praying for Jack. I pray that God will heal Jack completely and that you will be able to come home soon. I've already been very moved by just reading all the blogs and am inspired by the witness of you and all your friends. We love you although we don't know your family well and continue to pray for complete healing in Jack's body. Our God is good! (ps-our 'guys' are just 5 & 7, but are often better pray-ers than their parents - we'll get em right on it!)

A couple of years ago my family was in a similar situation. Because of the power of prayer my 11 year old daughter had a full recovery. Just wanted to let you know that I am adding your family to our prayer list here in Eastland.
Praying for all of you,

We've only known you a very short while, but already love you deeply. We are praying constanly for you. As much as you love Jack, it's hard to imagine that God loves him even more. God will take care of His precious child.

I know how special you and your family are ... and how incredible it has been today reading all of these wonderful prayers from awesome prayer warriors on behalf of Jack. It is overwhelming to see technology allow those who love you so much to be able to express themselves in this special way. I want you to know that we are in constant prayer for each of you. We pray that Jack will feel the peace of our Lord as he is waiting for this surgery. We pray that any delays that are occurring are occurring with God's guidance and his wisdom. We pray that the two of you will feel His presence in every hour knowing that so many are standing in the gap for you in moments when it all seems overwhelming. We pray for Sophie and D.J. as they try to continue with their daily activities that they will know that Jesus is right there with them. We pray for the medical team that they will have wisdom and insight that comes only from the Lord. Please let Jack know that all of us from his Sunday morning class love him dearly, and please remind him of a scripture that we have talked about together: "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This is Braden's favorite scripture and the class has talked about it several times -- We will be praying this scripture over your entire family through this difficult time. I wish we could be there to hold you.

I have been praying for you. I pray the surgery is successful and Jack fully recovers. We are anxious to hear how things went today. It is amazing the strength God delivers to His people when a crisis occurs. I know you feel His awesome power. Please know how much you are loved!
